Breaking down how Minoxidil works

Minoxidil, when applied topically, increases how long follicles stay in the active growth phase. This means that it can can help ignite the dormant follicles to grow, and promote more hairs into the growing phase. When applied regularly and topically to stubborn spots, it accelerates growth for genetic hair loss, pregnancy or covid induced hair loss, or alopecia areata. What makes NHLMA’s formula different? Made in small batches with clean ingredients, each bottle skips the unnecessary preservatives and sticks to the active, result yielding ingredients.

Will I see more hair loss when I start using Minoxidil?

In addition to stopping the reason for hair loss, many NHL clients are utilizing a Compounded Minoxidil formula that assists us in boosting further hair growth. For some, if they were about to go through a growth cycle at the time they started the topical, it can result in some diffuse shedding as the hair growth cycle is hastened. These would be hairs that were ready to shed with or without Minoxidil use and is never permanent loss.

When I stop using Minoxidil, I’m going to lose more hair?

NHL works FIRST on a custom hair recovery plan to get to the root cause of your hair loss in order to stabilize you from further permanent thinning.  Once we stabilize, we can also utilize a topical booster which helps aid in more blood flow as well as tricking hairs out of a  dormancy and into the growth phase.

To illustrate: Think of your hair like a plant; it has roots and needs food to survive. The “Stabilization phase” works like the sun to open vasculature, drawing Atp, mitochondria and nutrients to the hair and stopping the loss. The Boosting phase utilizes compounded fertilizers and nutrients to further feed your “plants.” As long as we keep the “Sun” in the equation we won’t have to use fertilizer forever to grow or keep the plants alive. Instead, we stop the loss and use these boosters to give you an  extra edge at getting the best results possible.
